The lightfestival in Canada is celebreted as a blend of "First nation" /"Indian" myths and stories and the idea today is to make the winter season more enjoyable, even if it is raining or snowing. I really like this idea!

Today we had here in Finland snow for the second time this year, but it turned into rain later. So now it has almost melted, all of the white stuff. 

I wnted to find out more about the iroquis, Irokesnationerna.

I learned that there are 2 cities with the same name. (Vancouver) 

One in Canada, the other in USA.

I learned where are Ontario and Oregon on the map.

 After night with stars visible...Hope for more of this kind, driving on rainy pavement road is more difficult. Sofar no ice on the roads, though...we might need more of these:

STARS IN BETWEEN

 

Exciting while the eyes are adjusting to new light conditions.

At first everything seems like total dark, but after around 15 minutes, eyes adapt.

Testing new reading glasses, and have seen more stars, than the sun this night. For some hours no clouds, in the afternoon just before the sunpicture above we saw the rainbow.
